Kenny Wall, a sophomore at Oakland University, finds the large headphones steer people away when all he wants is some peace.
"When walking through the (Oakland Center) I find there are a lot of people trying to grab your attention to sign up for something," Wall said. "I just really want to get to class. With the bigger headphones, people just let you walk on by I've discovered."
It's just not being left alone that makes the Beats by Dre headphones worthy of your purchase. If you couldn't get it from the name, the headphones were developed by the infamous hip-hop artist and producer, Dr. Dre.
His statement about the headphones reads: "People aren’t hearing all the music.
Artists and producers work hard in the studio perfecting their sound. But people can’t really hear it with normal headphones. Most headphones can’t handle the bass, the detail, the dynamics. Bottom line, the music doesn’t move you."
If that doesn't do it for you, stores like Best Buy allow you to test them out in store.
"All it took was one song on a test listen and I was hooked," Wall said. "I've never heard anything like it. It was more powerful and moving to me."
Beats by Dre are sure to open you up to a world of sounds you have never taken in before. They may be on the higher end in terms of price, but when you're looking for a second set of ears, you got to be willing to whip out the wallet.
If you like studio headphones so you can really feel the bass to all your hip-hop songs, perhaps you should hit up 2dopeboyz to get all the latest songs.
