Apple's I-Pod has become the favorite choice when it comes to mp3 players, so instead of buying new headphones, people will opt to stick with what comes with the player. There may be several different reasons why.
Kelsey Carmean, an Oakland University student, likes the Apple headphones for stylistic reasons.
"You know, it's small and doesn't get in the way," Carmean said. "I don't see the point in having big headphones, these are way cuter."
That seems to be a major appeal for the female headphone wearers. The fact that these headphones are small and easy to store (you can just wrap the cord around the I-Pod and put it all in your pocket) helps students a lot who are constantly on the move and in need of space when they go to class.
Style isn't the only reason these headphones are so popular though. Like always, money plays an issue for some, and this is the case for Oakland University student Zack Jones.
"I already spent a ton of money on the mp3 player itself, I don't see why I should spend even more money on headphones," Jones said.
Basically, these headphones are a popular choice among people due to its sensibility in terms of fashion and money. They are a practical second set of ears for the portable music lovers.
